Travel ID

The deadline to get your Travel ID has been extended to 2023. By October 2023 you must be in possession of an approved Travel ID in order to board a plane or enter a federal building.

Basically, starting October 2023 all IDs or Drivers Licenses will have to be Travel versions that allow the holder to pass through TSA checkpoints. If you do not own a travel version, you will not be allowed to go through the checkpoints. You can see if you have a travel ID or not by checking the front for: “NOT FOR FEDERAL IDENTIFICATION” this is on non-travel licenses.

A few easy steps to acquiring a Travel ID/Driver License:

First, gather your Travel ID/Driver’s License requirements (original identification documents) to bring with you to our office. Must include the following:

Second, fill out the Travel ID/Drivers License application at one of our 3rd Party MVD/DMV locations or download and fill out the Travel ID application online, print it, and bring it when you visit our store.

Third, At the office, we’ll take your photo, review your application and documents, and issue your updated license with theStar.
(Valid for 8 years, in most cases)

Fourth, there will be a $70.00 total fee for your new Travel ID or License (Travel ID/Driver License). The convenience fee is included in the total. You’ll leave with a temporary copy valid for 30 days. Keep an eye on your mail for the permanent credential, it may take up to two weeks to deliver.

Origional ID

Identification Cards or IDs can be acquired by persons of any age in the state of Arizona. Elders of the age 65 or above do not have to pay any fee to get an ID. Fees for acquiring an ID vary depending on the age of the applicant. Generally, as you age the price decreases meaning you’d pay less each time you apply for an ID.

Duplicate ID

An individual can request duplicate IDs in case you have lost your ID card. These can be requested online or in person at your nearest MVD. You will have to have certain personal information handy for what will be asked, much of that being name, license number, date of birth, address, and possibly SSN. There is also a fee required for getting a new ID.
